I’m a San Francisco–based researcher and writer with a background in neuroscience, artificial intelligence, and literature, and a longstanding interest in consciousness and emergent phenomena. I previously co-founded Socra, an education startup, where I spent a year thinking about how AI might enter the classroom and why much of it should not. Now I write about the human world gathering around AI, including the changes it brings to language, education, judgment, desire, and self-understanding.
